Boat transfers to and from Tangalooma Island Resort are an additional charge, payable at the resort on arrival:

Boat transfers are AUD 88 return per adult , AUD 48 return per child 3-14 years, free for children up to 2 years. This price valid until 31 March 2025 only, From 1 April 2025 price will be 94 AUD for adult and 50 AUD for children.

Please note that you are automatically booked on 12:30pm boat on day of arrival (Brisbane to Tangalooma) and the 2.30pm boat on the day of departure (Tangalooma to Brisbane). Please contact Tangalooma after booking to request alternative transfer times.

What was the highlight of Tangalooma Island Resort
Skip the sand boarding! Not worth it.
Hotel is really nice with everything you need, hotel rooms are clean and location is fantastic (walking distance from Sand dunes dessert and ship wrecks) . We stayed in Beach resort unit with kitchen to be able to prepare our on meal. Restaurants don't have a good reputation so we didn't even risk to try them. We used one of the BBQ too. Really good with water tap next to it. Acommodation and activities are really expensive but you are in Paradise. Worth for money.
Activities shut down too early. Will be better to extend for 2-3h longer. All the activities are pretty pricy but nice experience. Very disappointed with sandboarding. We paid $55 per person. Group was really big and for safety reasons everyone is sliding one at the time. Expect long waiting time. Most likely you will have a chance to have 2 or 3 rides. Because of rain we had just 1 ride each and not even the good one. When the sand is wet you can't really slide down. Guides know about it. But no-one let us know that. If we knew it we would cancel our participation. Before the tour started it was raining already. Tour should be cancelled or offered different experience instead. We complained after bad experience and ask for compensation and we were informed they won't do nothing about it. :-(

Such a beautiful island, so many activities to do, will definitely come back.
Felt like we had flown to an island overseas. Was great and would go again
Needs more toilets along the strip, More shaded areas as it was very hot and didn’t necessarily want to go back to the room. Also if it had another convenience store down the other end, we would have purchased more food and drinks.

Great Couples Holiday
The location was just a short walk from the beach, and the room itself was very cute and clean. We were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful our balcony view was, and the tv was also nice.
There are limited food options available aside from expensive disappointing restaurants. Also, there was no microwave in our room, only a kettle and fridge.
